Brilliant to see so many new people at the session on Sunday and on Tuesday's horrific bar crawl. The next beginner session is at 2pm on Sunday, and you'll need to pay your fees for the year if you haven't done so already. Hope to see you then!

The first session this term will be on Sunday the 5th of October. To help new fencers get acclimatized, the session will begin at 1pm and last until 4pm. As it's the first training session of the year, no membership fees are required. For more information and directions to manor road sports hall, see the Training section.

In other news, Charlotte Murphy is now the 26th most dangerous fencer in the country - good stuff girl! Everyone should meet up after training on Sunday for some sort of delicious beer.

Well done to all those who took part in the Merseyside Open! The results include Claudia Fogl who came twenty-eighth in the Women's Foil event, Charlotte Murphy who came third in the Women's sabre and to Charly Feldman and Monika Gilmore who came eleventh and sixteenth respectively. Also well done to Daniel Redshaw who finished seventeenth in the Men's Sabre event.
